New Sugar bowl and milk pitcher from Danish Menu
June 27th, 2007
This new Sugar bowl and milk pitcher from Danish Menu looks like two abstract birds that have landed on the table. Designer Pernille Vea has clearly gathered inspiration from nature for the new generation of the design company Menu’s popular porcelain series, Black Contour. The milk pitcher holds a half-litre, and the sugar bowl conceals an accompanying sugar spoon that is held in place by the lid.All of the set’s pieces are made of porcelain of the highest quality, fired at 1320 degrees Celsius, ensuring strength, durability, and an easy to clean surface. The glazing is acid-free, and therefore does not change colour. Furthermore, the glazing does not contain lead or cadmium.

Filippa K 2007
June 21st, 2007
At last it’s here! The new Filippa K mug for spring and summer 2007 from Rörstrand. This decorative design is called Diamond and is inspired by the season’s new fashion collection from Filippa K. In a subtle shade of light grey, these mugs are the perfect partner for all the others in this hugely popular series. Diamond goes well with the various different patterns and colours in what has become a real bestselling line and a favourite collectable for many people.
The idea behind the concept is a porcelain mug with a surface that evokes the sensation of textiles, in patterns and colours that would not be out of place in a Filippa K fashion collection. A decorative motif in a classic, graphic style is complemented by functional thinking. The distinctive ridges not only mean that the mug is stackable, but they also make it inviting and easy to hold, and help to make sure that hot drinks won’t burn your hands. All mugs are design by the Swedish designer Filippa.

We pride ourselves on bringing you the latest, greatest food gadgets, but there are times when we crave a little something different. You know, something that’s old school, but still considered fashionable on the farm. That’s when we turn to Mary Jane. Take comfort in her canning tote, which is meant to display your favorite jams (preferably homemade, if you have the time darlings). You can also channel your inner Martha Stewart and fill a jar with potpourri or a scented candle and put it on display.
