Ringmaster
March 23rd, 2006
Sophia Wahl might have had a tiny booth, but left a big impression on us. One design, one material, different accent colors, very differentiated result, definitely not to be missed. Click on Almauftrieb on her site - the name is an odd choice as well, but then again, in a way it works with the overall style…

Eva Kim Heu
March 21st, 2006
Austrian designer Eva Kim Heu presented Aiko just a couple days ago at Blickfang in Stuttgart. Aiko is a cap that is crafted out of traditional felt, the way hats and caps have been made for the past decades. A wonderfully simple and elegant cap, every one is a unique piece, handmade especially for the wearer to accentuate the head shape. But Eva also presented her latest collection of womens fashion and she’s an incredibly talented photographer if you look at the images on her site.

Guinea Fowl?
March 21st, 2006
Well, Anne Jung certainly isn’t a Guinea Fowl, but if we translate her companies name Perlhuhn, that’s what you get. What she meant to say is that she’s into pearls and crystals and gems stones - well actually Swarovski crystals. And she creates wonderful little bracelets and necklaces. All made to order, limited edition pieces with impeccable quality, a great sense of color and size and wonderful attention to detail. Click on the little star above Perlhuhn to cycle through the designs.

Berries ring
March 20th, 2006
Sure, plain bands are beautiful. But the Berries ring by Rachell Leigh is simply exquisite. The wire-wrapped band is made of a copper material while a cluster of gems in different shapes, sizes and textures sets this beauty apart. Features freshwater pearl and agate, this gemstone ring is a gem itself. The colors form a unique berry palette and the stones are each intertwined in the same copper wire that craftingly makes up the band. Stunning.

Velvet body cream lives up to its name—it’s a light and silky nourishing cream that offers some intensive moisturizing for dry skin, especially knees and elbows. A quarter-sized dollop, applied to freshly exfoliated skin leaves you feeling fresh and firm. The formula is a custom blend of marigold, chamomile and green tea that’s also rich in natural horse chestnut, shea and mango butter, aloe and honey.

Cuff Link
March 17th, 2006
New York City is home to many dynamic designers, among them Mish Tworkowski. As a child, he created jewelry as a hobby and, today, he has become a first-name wonder (most know him strictly as Mish, kind of like Cher or Madonna). When we spotted these crazy cool 18K Hana Bamboo Cuffs we knew they’d find their way into Marie’s Closet. The combination is one of whimsy, bold color and infinite style. They’re hand-carved from coral and every girl’s dream: diamonds.

The Prettiest, Bar None
March 16th, 2006
It’s spring, which means it’s time to toss out those slivers of boring white soap and opt for colorful bars with personality (not to mention a great lather). This one from Carol’s Daughter is rich with moisturizing glycerin and the savory scents of lavender, rosemary, hyacinth, watermelon and cucumber. There’s never been a better excuse to rub-a-dub-dub in your glorious tub.
