Provocative Pillows
February 27th, 2006
Once upon a time, the artistic and adventurous Sandy Glaze was hard-pressed to find bedding that lived up to her sassy sense of style. So exasperated was the fair maiden that she created her own line. Thus began the rather provocative enterprise, Sin in Linen, which creates soft goods and home textiles with hard core style. These pillows are the perfect accessory for an otherwise prim and proper bed. Whether you’re a good girl—or boy—these prints will add pizzazz to a bland boudoir.

Porada Stars Mirrors
February 24th, 2006
To really show off these beauties, they should be displayed in huge numbers. Designer Tarsicio Colzani adds a retro vibe to these exquisitely luminescent mirrors. It’s especially effective if you hang them up in varying sizes, in shades of stained wengé or gray—the three options are 8, 12, and 16 inch diameter frames, for some bubbly-looking glamour.

Rubber Vase
February 22nd, 2006

Suburban Haute Spot
February 22nd, 2006
Suburban hipsters who want more privacy than a velvet rope and burly bouncer are forgoing VIP rooms for a new “VIP estate” which offers heightened levels of indulgence for roughly $400 per night. In the San Francisco Easy Bay, Pleasant Hill’s dashingly decked-out house-for-rent, Protégé Lounge, is getting rave reviews from international jet setters and local party goers. In fact, its inception is so recent and its location is so expertly hidden that it almost escaped our radar. Almost. The plush pad boasts a guest bungalow, movie theater, dance floor, lit pool, and indoor and outdoor bars. Since its inception six months ago, it has attracted notables from the world of fashion, namely supermodel Kate Moss whose face graces the entryway of the house. Owner Timothy Leung, who was at one time a high fashion photographer who took pictures of famous faces like Kate’s, says the 15,000 square foot property is a popular place for bachelorette parties, outdoor weddings or bed and breakfast retreats, all of which undergo screening to maintain exclusivity. Leung has other sumptuous properties in Los Angeles, New York and Asia and plans to introduce others in Northern California over the next year and a half. We can hardly wait. Vlieger Vandam Laptop-bag
February 20th, 2006
We met the good guys from Vlieger Vandam in Frankfurt at the Ambiente and they gave us a wonderful look at their new collection. We got to see the new colors for the traditional models - beautiful tans and gray’s make the bags look wonderfully earthy. But the highlight was the new laptop bag they presented looking like a shopping bag. They are specialists when it comes to 3 dimensional applications and now they have really pulled it off, looking like a shopping bag on the one side, but with backpack straps and a unique opening mechanism on the other side this is really gorgeous. It will be available in a few weeks, so check their site frequently…
Meet Sebastian 2
February 20th, 2006
We have posted Sebastian earlier already in Marie’s Closet, but we simply had to bring you his cleats as well. Made out of soccer balls, this is a pretty wonderful interpretation of the traditional cleats and another stunning example of Sebastian’s creativity. Make sure you check out his website.
